Ron and Kathy Prell are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.

They were married at St. Bernard Catholic Church on May 15, 1971 with Fr. Ignatius O’Brien celebrating the mass. Attendants were Linda Johnson and Mike Prell, maid of honor and best man; bridesmaids Jeanne Phillips and Diane Somers; Groomsmen Doug Reedy and Marc Keller.

They have been blessed with three children, Scott (Dawn) Prell, Jeff Prell, and Mandi (Andy) Merritt, along with five beautiful grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, and Elizabeth Prell, and Lauren and Bryant Merritt.

A family trip to Hawaii on the island of Oahu will take place later this summer where the couple spent their honeymoon 50 years ago.
