Roger and Jenni Johns, residents of Toledo, Ohio, are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary Sept. 7, 2013.

Mr. Johns and the former Jenni Ritzler were married at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1988. They met while members of the Michigan Army National Guard.

Jenni was born and raised in Alpena and graduated from Alpena High School in 1978. Her parents are long-time Alpena resident Richard Ritzer and the late Shirley Ritzer. Roger’s parents are Palmyra resident Pearl Johns-Loar and the late Cassius Johns.

The couple’s children are Christine Riddle of Sand Creek, Erin Johns of Toledo, Ohio, Kimberly Brunette of Pittsford, and Jessica Johns of Adrian. Roger and Jenni also have 14 grandchildren.

Roger is employed with Chrysler Corporation and Jenni is a retired public relations professional.
