Al and Nancy Kannowski of 106 Glenridge, Alpena celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Jan. 6, 2013 with a renewal of their vows ceremony officiated by their cousin, Msg. Paul Russell of Taiwan. They plan to continue their celebration in April with a trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Mr. Kannowski and the former Nancy DeCaire were married Jan. 6, 1973 in Alpena. Their children and grandchildren are Aaron and Kellie Kannowski (Matthew and Drew) of McKinney, Texas, and Bryan and Amanda Kannowski (Karsyn and Jett) of Oklahoma City, Okla.

The couple are owners of Marine Market Inc., and Nancy is employed by Gregg D. Resnick, DDS.
