Plowmans celebrate 63 years

Larry and Susan Plowman
Larry and Susan Plowman of Alpena have successfully navigated the path of 63 years of marriage.
They wed on May 5, 1962, in Edmonton, Alberta, where they were born and raised.
Best friends and lovers since then, they moved to Toronto, Ontario, where two daughters were born. They emigrated to the United States in 1968 and they are now dual citizens.
Larry worked with Abitibi and ongoing companies and moved to Alpena in 1985.
After many years of domestic and international travel, they decided to remain in Alpena after retirement in 2003. They love the small town pace and friendliness and the lack of traffic jams.
Larry and Susan are very proud of their wonderful loving family. Their daughters are Stacie (Ken) Hensley of Farmington Hills, and Sherry (Kevin) Kilbourn of Lansing. Their grandsons are Devin (Chelsea) Kilbourn of Saline, and Lucas (Sadie) Kilbourn of Dewitt. Their granddaughters are Dr. Faith (Evan) Young of Old Hickory, Tenn., and Kali (Ryan) Mahoney of Skokie, Ill. New star on the block: Kali and Ryan gave the Plowmans a great-grandson in November, Parker David Mahoney. A new generation.
Larry says of his family, “They are good, hardworking, professional people, and in this day and age of crazies, they all have their heads screwed on straight!”
