Spring Tree Sale going on now; Friday deadline

ALPENA — Alpena-Montmorency Conservation District’s Spring Tree Sale is happening now, and orders are due by Friday.

A wide variety of seedlings are available, including coniferous and deciduous, as well as fruit trees, shrubs, and berries.

Payment is due when ordering, with checks payable to Alpena-Montmorency Conservation District (AMCD). Mail order and payment to Alpena-Montmorency CD, 1900 M-32 West, Alpena MI 49707.

Pickup will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p..m. on Friday, April 26 at 1425 Airport Road in Alpena, or from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at 12423 Jerome St., Atlanta.

Living Hope Men’s Breakfast date changed to next Saturday

ALPENA — Living Hope Church will host its monthly Men’s Breakfast at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, open to the community. The date was changed, as the event had been previously planned for this Saturday.

Coast Guard Auxiliary meeting Thursday

ALPENA — The Coast Guard Auxiliary of Alpena will hold its first meeting of the season at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Coast Guard station. We are to work from Rogers City to Sturgeon Point. Since the regular C.G. is not here anymore, new members are needed. Come and join the Coast Guard Auxiliary to work on Lake Huron. If you have questions, call John Knapp at 989-354-5010.
