Senior Center rummage and bake sale Sat., Sun.

ALPENA — Alpena Senior Citizens Center will host a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday.

The sale will include kitchenware, decor, jewelry, scrapbooking items, beads and other jewelry-making items, handmade items, glassware, storage items, seasonal pieces, cross-stiching items, ribbon, art supplies, candles, games, and more.

There will also be a wide array of bake sale items, and hot dogs, popcorn, and pop will be available.

The center is located at 501 River St., Alpena. Proceeds will benefit programs at the senior center.

Tractor Supply to host pet treat tasting Saturday

ALPENA — Tractor Supply Company is hosting a pet treat tasting event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

“At Tractor Supply, we believe in giving your pets a choice,” said Karl Miltz, manager of the Alpena Tractor Supply store. “From our exclusive 4health brand to a multitude of other high-quality products, we carry a wide variety of pet food and treat options to ensure your four-legged friends stay nourished and satisfied all year long. Alpena Cycle Club to host events Oct. 7, 8

ALPENA — Alpena Cycle Club will host a day full of fun events on Oct. 7 and 8 at the club, 7096 Spruce Road.

The fun starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday with tractor pulls, followed by a kids Power Wheels race (bring your own). There will be a bike raffle and kids games, and a Trunk and Treat before the Bump and Run, which starts at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, Oct. 8, tractor pulls will be held at 10 a.m.

Concessions will be available both days.

Bring the family out for a fun-filled weekend at the Alpena Cycle Club.
