Local students earn honors at Albion College

ALBION — Albion College proudly recognizes students who participated in the 34th Annual Elkin R. Isaac Student Research Symposium, along with students who received academic awards during the annual Honors Convocation.

Alpena student Cooper Bright received recognition for having one of the highest GPAs among the Class of 2026. Bright is a sophomore at Albion College. Bright is a resident of Alpena and is a graduate of Alpena High School.

Millersburg student Madison Brilley co-presented an original research poster titled “Genomic Annotation of Drosophila Willistoni.” Brilley is majoring in biology. Brilley is the child of Kathi Nash of Millersburg and is a graduate of Onaway High School.

Local students on Kalamazoo College Dean’s List

KALAMAZOO — Kalamazoo College congratulates students who earned Dean’s List honors in Winter 2024. Dean’s List recognition is earned with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Local students earning a place on the Dean’s List include Aubrey Benson of Onaway and Claire Mullins of Lewiston.
