ALPENA — The READ Adult Literacy Program at Alpena County Library is seeking new tutors.

Free training is coming up in September in the upstairs Stillion Conference Room at the library. Training will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.

Here are the dates:

Sept. 7 — Introduction to the READ Program

Sept. 12 — Basic Literacy 1

Sept. 13 — Basic Literacy 2

Sept. 27 — English as a Second Language

Sept. 28 — GED

You may attend any or all of the sessions free of charge. Light refreshments and materials will be provided.
