Trails Association meets Thursday

ALPENA — The Thunder Bay Trails Association will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Oct. 6 in CTR 106 at Alpena Community College.

This meeting is open to anyone wanting to help support and advocate for non-motorized trails in our area.

Project Connect Thursday in Ossineke

OSSINEKE — Alpena County Project Connect, including food distribution, giveaways, and community resources, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Ossineke United Methodist Church, 13095 U.S.-23, Ossineke.

Please enter the parking lot using Wilds Road. The parking lot opens at 2:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to not enter the parking lot early.

Dawn of the Dash 5K Oct. 29 in Lincoln

LINCOLN — MATRIX Youth Ministry and Revolution Dance will host the Dawn of the Dash 5K costume fun run on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Alcona Community Schools. The goal is to raise funds for MATRIX to provide free and low-cost family and youth events in Alcona. Wear your favorite costume and support this cause!

The race will begin at 9 a.m. Registration is $25 for ages 13 and older, $15 for ages 6 to 12, and free for ages 5 and younger.
