PRESQUE ISLE — Each year, the Presque Isle Community Men’s Club awards three $700 Community Service Scholarships, one each to a graduating senior from Alpena High School, Posen High School, and Rogers City High School.

The PICMC is proud to announce the recipients of this year’s Community Service Scholarships: Grace Mitchell from Alpena, Elizabeth Romel from Posen, and Brady Myers from Rogers City.

These scholarships, which are paid upon the student’s second semester enrollment in college, are awarded to outstanding students who serve their community and school through volunteering their time and talent.

Funds for these scholarships are provided by advertising sales in the PICMC phone directory, the club’s sole fundraiser. Since 1995, the PICMC has given over $100,000 to local charities, scholarships, libraries, clubs, food banks, families suffering tragedies, and community events like the Wooden Boat Show and the Fireside 500. The latest edition of the directory will be published in the spring of 2023.
