ALPENA — Professional artist Erwin P. Lewandowski of Alpena was recently notified by Lisa A. Christensen, purchasing project specialist of My Michigan Health in Midland, that their hospital in Alpena will be purchasing 17 drawings by the artist.

The artwork was originally installed on April 19 in the new Tower Complex for the grand opening celebration.

“What an honor to have my waterscape drawings featured throughout the entryway and lobby of this magnificent facility,” Lewandowski said. “The range of water scenes on display includes stillwater, river currents, crevice streams, falling water and cascading water. I remember attending the grand opening reception and being so proud to have a small part in the presentation of the new hospital addition to the community. This state-of-the-art medical complex will be welcomed by patients, medical staff, hospital staff and visitors for years to come.”

The artist extended his appreciation to Lisa Christensen for contacting him and Chuck Sherwin, My Michigan Health CEO, “for being so positive and excited to feature the waterscape drawings.”

Lewandowski and his wife Mary reside along the shoreline of Lake Huron in Alpena. To learn more about the artist, visit his website at www.erwinplewandowski.com.
