Lions hear from Besser Company

The Alpena Lions Club gathered for their Tuesday lunch and meeting at the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

The group was addressed by Brian Budnick, director of molds for Besser Company. He provided a brief history of Besser Company and a description of the current facilities and their responsibilities.

He spoke proudly of Besser Company’s continued involvement with the World Center for Concrete Technology at Alpena Community College. Besser’s commitment to research and development as well as testing at this facility provides a competitive edge for Besser Company and their customers.

With over 200 employees locally and demand for an additional 12 employees, Besser Company is a major player in the Alpena area economy. Their 2020 support to 49 different organizations in our area is an additional sign of commitment to the Alpena area.

The Alpena Lions Club thanked Budnick and Besser Company for taking time to address their organization and they look forward to Besser’s continued commitment to the Alpena area.
