The Boys and Girls Club of Alpena recently received a $1,000 donation from NEMIQDMA President Irvin Timm to help with current operations and promote youth services at the Boys and Girls Club of Alpena.

“We made the donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Alpena because of the work they do to advocate safety, positive development and encourage leadership,” Timm said. “Every member of the NEMIQDMA Branch believes in the next generation of young people and encourages the same by advocating education to a younger generation to grow up as responsible adults aimed at making informed and educated decisions that impact us all.”

“The NEMIQDMA Branch has been a strong supporter of our programs for many years,” said Club Executive Director Bradley Somers. “A donation like this helps us continue serving the youth in our community and helping them become strong civic leaders. The mission of the NEMQDMA and the Boys and Girls Club are similar in the fact that we all work hard to pass on positive development for our young people generation after generation and carry on a tradition of caring for the world that we live and the people and animals that live there.”
