Katharsys Theory to play album release show at Bandshell

ALPENA — Alpena rock band Katharsys Theory is set to play at the Alpena Bandshell on Friday, June 25, and will be releasing their debut album “We Will Rise” on the same date.

The album will be released worldwide digitally via all streaming platforms (Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more). A limited run of 100 physical albums will also be available at their album release show, and they will be signed by all of the Katharsys Theory members.

The show will be sponsored by Pepsi Bottling Group, Builders FirstSource, Northland Area Federal Credit Union, River’s Edge Golf Club, and Ken Robb Construction.

Katharsys Theory will be raffling a Jackson electric guitar signed by all members, and will also be giving away merchandise. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, concessions, and band merchandise for purchase.

Prior to Katharsys Theory, four opening bands will play, starting at 4 p.m.: August Experience (Alpena), Citrus Orange (Alpena), Huron Fire (Oscoda), and Lemon Frog (Prescott). Katharsys Theory will hit the stage at 8 p.m.

“We are stoked to get back on stage and play for our people” said Carlos Vivero, lead singer and guitar player for Katharsys Theory. “We’ve waited for a very long time to get back on stage, and are proud to finally have an album to release. We’ve all worked very hard to get to this point.”
