FFA to host contactless fruit fundraiser

Once again this year the Alpena FFA is holding its annual fruit sale fundraiser to raise funds to support chapter activities. This year the sale will be contactless. Customers are able to place orders using a custom website for the sale and all fruit will be shipped directly to customers.

The fruit will be supplied from Indian River Groves and will consist of Florida citrus and Washington apples. A variety of boxes and gift boxes are available that include oranges, grapefruit, apples, candy and nuts. These make excellent Christmas gifts and can be shipped directly to recipients anywhere in the U.S.

All proceeds from the fundraiser support local chapter activities, such as chapter meetings, community service events, travel and registration costs to leadership contests and state and national convention, and the awards banquet at the end of the school year. This fundraiser is the chapter’s primary source of funds for the year.

Orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 30 using the website listed below. At the time of checkout you may indicate a current FFA member to get credit for the sale or select the general fund. Fruit will ship directly to customers the week of Dec. 14.

To order, go directly to https://shop.floridaindianrivergroves.com/ecommerce/204756.
