Girl Scouts learn about fire safety

Courtesy Photo

Girl Scout Troop 7500 capped off weeks of learning about first aid techniques and safety by visiting the Alpena Township Fire Department, where they learned about the protective gear and equipment firemen use and the training they do to become firemen. The girls were especially fascinated by the infrared camera the firemen use to find people during a fire, as seen in this photo.
