Founders Book Club meets Thurs.

The Founders Society of the Besser Museum Book Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the 19th Hole to discuss “Unbroken Threads” by Jennifer Klepper. You don’t have to be a Founder to attend.

Alpena Senior Citizens Center is hosting dinner from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, and live music with Carole & Company from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Dinner is a suggested donation of $3.50 for seniors 60 and up, and $7 cost for those under 60. The menu includes meatballs with gravy, mashed potatoes, a vegetable blend and pineapple.

TBTA annual meeting Thursday

Thunder Bay Trails Association will hold a potluck from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by its annual meeting at 7 p.m. at Fletcher Street Depot. TBTA supports the non-motorized trails in N.E. Michigan.

Harrisville’s Christmas in the Village is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, with 40-plus vendors at Maria Hall behind St. Anne Catholic Church. Visit with Santa from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Alcona County Library, where you can also create a craft and decorate a cookie.
