Girl Scouts learn about water

Girl Scout Brownie Troop 7500 learned where the city’s water comes from and how it is cleaned as they toured the Alpena Water Treatment Plant as part of a Journey project on the importance of water in our lives. They followed the pipes down to the basement and saw the lab where the water is tested to make sure it is safe. They especially liked all the lab equipment and the giant pools of water.
