Options Pregnancy Center banquet set

Tickets for Options Pregnancy Center’s Night of Light are available at Olivet Book and Gift.

The banquet, featuring keynote speaker Alan Keyes, is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.

Hospital used book sale Aug. 30

A used book sale hosted by the MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena Volunteers will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in the hospital lobby.

K of C Oktoberfest date announced

During the August meeting of the Alpena Knights of Columbus, the date of the 2019 Sunrise Side Oktoberfest dinner-dance was announced.

This seventh event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20. Dancing to the music of the Norm Siess Band will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m., followed by the pork loin dinner. Doors will open at 1 p.m. There will be a cash bar.

Tickets are $15, sold in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door.
