New landscaping has been completed around the base of the public sculpture at Duck Park, “Departure of the Great Blue Herons.” The design and landscaping was donated by Doug Pratt of Prattscape L.L.C. He said Thunder Bay Arts asked him to do the landscaping, “so it’s more inclusive of what would naturally be around an area that blue herons live in.” A spotlight has also been installed so the sculpture can be viewed at night. The sculpture is located across from MidMichigan Health Center-Alpena.
