At the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Hubbard Lake Sportsman & Improvement Association on Aug. 14, President Douglas Cameron presented Les Miller with the 2019 Outstanding Member Award. Miller was cited for his contributions to the group, having served as secretary, president and currently vice president, chairman of the fish shelter project, and chairman of the annual Pig Roast Fundraiser the past two years, as well as his activities in the community, including serving as a referee at numerous sports games. The award consists of a personal plaque, inscription of his name and year on the wall plaque in the Hubbard Lake South End Community Center, a $50 check for he and his wife to go to dinner, and a lifetime membership in HLSIA.
