A new Miss Posen to be crowned tonight at Posen High School

Miss Posen 2018, Faith Romel, will crown her successor at the 2019 Miss Posen Pageant tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Posen High School. Five young ladies are competing for the title of Miss Posen to reign over the 68th Annual Posen Potato Festival to be held September 6 through 8.

Alexis May, 15, is the daughter of John and Jessica May. Her future plan is to pursue a business degree and become a small business owner. Her talent presentation will be a speech on “Bullying Realization”.

Brooke Rocco, 15, is the daughter of Melody Hincka and Raymond Rocco. Her future plan is to attend the Grayling Hollywood School of Beauty and train to be a cosmetologist. She will sing and play the song “Rise Up” on the piano for her presentation in the talent category.

Madison Menzel, 16, is the daughter of Stephen and Jennifer Menzel. She plans to attend a university and study athletic training. She will be singing the song “Speechless” for her talent portion of the event.

Paige Marie Thompson, 17, is the daughter of Angela Ganske and Phillip Thompson. She plans to obtain a degree at a university to become a paralegal. Her talent presentation will be an inspirational dance to the song “This is Me” from the movie, “The Greatest Showman.”

Hailey Nicole Styma, 16, is the daughter of Erwin and Carey Styma. Her future plans are to attend Alpena Community College then transfer to Michigan State University to obtain an undergraduate degree in Agribusiness Management. She will perform a tap dance routine to the song, “New York, New York” for her talent presentation.

Additional entertainment scheduled for the evening will be provided by: Anissa Eagling, Miss Michigan Agriculture and member of the 2018 Miss Posen Court; Jacob Bruski, local musician; and MiKaela Bannon, Miss West Michigan Outstanding Teen and First Runner-Up to the 2019 Miss Michigan Outstanding Teen.

Laura Idalski is chairperson for the Miss Posen Pageant with Rachel Galer as co-chair. Committee members include Janice Idalski, Suzette Kandow, Alletta Misiak, Sheila Provo, Judy Romel, and Penny Seiler. Randy Idalski reprises his role as Master of Ceremonies for the event.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $7 per adult and $5 per child age 10 and younger.
