ALPENA — Head to the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center for The Perfect Porridge: Earth, the Goldilocks Planet projected onto the Science on the Sphere.

This free program for all ages will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays now through Aug. 15, and Saturdays, July 6 and Aug. 3.

We’ve all heard the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but did you know that if Earth were a porridge, it would be just right? Of all the planets in our solar system, Earth is the only one able to sustain life. Learn why Earth is the Goldilocks planet of our solar system. Then create your own planet, and see it projected onto the Science on the Sphere.
