RMEF fundraiser banquet Saturday

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is holding its 13th annual fundraiser banquet and auction Saturday at the APlex.

A cocktail social starts at 5 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature games, and live and silent auctions for world-class wildlife art, firearms, unique collectibles and more.

Tickets are $70 per person or $105 per couple. Ticket prices include dinner, a one-year membership to the RMEF, and six issues of the Bugle magazine from RMEF.

The public is welcome to attend the banquet, hosted by the Thunder Bay Chapter of Alpena, continuing its support of conservation work in Michigan and across the country. The group focuses on the theme, “Hunting is conservation.”

“Since 1984 RMEF has conserved nearly one square mile of elk country every day,” according to a press release. “And, with nearly seven million acres conserved or enhanced and millions of people reached with our message, no group does more for the future of elk, other wildlife and our hunting heritage.”
