Northland Area Federal Credit Union announced that it’s offering a loan for federal employees who are NAFCU members and their families affected by the ongoing partial shutdown of the federal government.

The credit union is issuing a no-fee, low-interest loan available up to $1,500 and the first payment is not due until 45 after the day of signing.

No credit bureau will be needed. The offer is valid until Feb. 4.

NAFCU CEO Pete Dzunis said that Northland appreciates the service of its federal employees to the community and wishes to help them through this difficult time.

Much of the U.S. government is shut down after Congress failed to send President Donald Trump a spending bill that included money for a wall along the southern border, as the president demanded.

For more details on the loan, call 989-739-1401, or stop in to one of NAFCU’s 15 locations.
