James John Miller Sr., affectionately known as Jim, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2023, in Alpena, Michigan, at the age of 67. Born on April 29, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, Jim was the loving son of the late James G. Miller and Dorothy (Gilman) Miller. Jim is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Audette, with whom he shared a beautiful life. Louis E. Bey, 97, of Ossineke passed away April 3, 2023, peacefully with his family by his side. Louis was born Aug. 6, 1925, to the late Edward and Bertha (Bartz) Bey in Sanborn Township. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Bey married the former Laura (Cole) Kurkerewicz on December 14, 1946, by the Rev. Father Sigmund Haremski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alpena.
