ALPENA -- Thunder-Con, a pop culture event hosted at the Art in the Loft in Alpena, will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
Thunder-Con is a free event open to the public, and there are currently 24 vendors and displays booked for the event this year. In addition to the vendors and displays, there will also be activities for children to participate in including record painting, a droid giveaway, lasersword academy, and a nerf shooting booth.
Attendees can participate in a costume contest which is open to all ages. There will also be a makeup demonstration and information on how individuals can start a cosplay hobby.
