On Monday, a reconstruction project on Fair Avenue, between Washington Avenue and

9th Avenue in Alpena will begin. This section of the street will be closed to all traffic and access to driveways will be limited and residents will have to park on side streets for extended periods.

Signage and barricades will be present to guide traffic around the construction site, but motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.This project is expected to take eight weeks to

complete unless weather or construction delays occur.

This project is funded with $682,307 from the Alpena water fund and $508,574, from the sewer Fund.
