The Alpena High Wildcat boys varsity soccer team defeated Boyne City 8-2 on Tuesday in Boyne City. Joe LaCross and Owen Kaiser each scored four goals and each had one assist. Hillman High Sports Hall of Fame announces Class of 2025

HILLMAN — The Hillman High School Sports Hall of Fame is proud to announce the 12th class to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. This year’s class consists of two football All-Staters who also participated in multiple sports and a female athlete who was All-State in softball and a Miss Softball Candidate. The honorees are Mike Hamilton, Maci Schook, and Jason Weiland. The athletes will be inducted in a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 4. AHS cross country competes in Petoskey

The Alpena High School cross country teams raced at the Petoskey High School on Saturday in a near steady rain after thunderstorms in the area prompted officials to combine and alter the original race schedules. Running in the large school division with only Petoskey and AHS represented, the girls came out on top winning by a score of 25-31.
