Courtesy Photo Alpena High senior Kennedy Ellis completed the Traverse City Junior Golf Association (TCJGA),  Northern Michigan junior golf tour ranked second place overall in the girls elite division. The tour consisted of 10 tournaments throughout the summer. The tour’s 36 hole championship was held Aug. 1 and Aug. 2 at the Grand Traverse Resort. Ellis finished the championship in third place for the elite girls division. Ellis’ proudest accomplishment this summer was being awarded the TCJGA “Spirit of the Game” award.
