ROGERS CITY — The Rogers City volleyball team had its Senior Night spoiled on Thursday as the Hurons dropped a North Star League match to Mio in four sets, losing by scores of 25-18, 17-25, 20-25 and 24-26.

Senior Kyrsten Altman paced Rogers City with 10 digs, five aces and three kills. Senior Makenna Fessler finished with seven kills and senior Brooke Saile recorded 20 digs and six kills as the trio was honored before the game.

Elle Bredow had seven digs and five kills, Jeffra Dittmar added seven digs, six kills and a pair of blocks and Kristin Brege dished out 26 assists and chipped with with five aces and four digs.

The Hurons are 6-4 in NSL play and will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Indian River Inland Lakes for a tournament.

Alcona 3, Posen 0

POSEN–The Alcona volleyball team earned a win on Thursday, topping Posen in three sets.

Alcona won 25-19, 25-14 and 25-22.  

Lily Bilbey had eight attacks and Ashlyn Gordy picked up three aces for the Tigers.

Hillman 3, Au Gres 0

AU GRES–The Hillman volleyball team picked up a sweep over Au Gres on Tuesday in a North Star League contest.

Hillman won 25-18, 25-21 and 25-23.

Makenna Grulke had nine kills, 10 digs and three aces for Hillman and Angelina Hunt had seven kills, eight digs and an ace. Melanie Morrison had two aces, 10 digs and four aces and Emma Libby had an ace, 11 assists, seven digs and three aces. Rebecca Neff had an ace, four assists and four digs and Ellie Crawford had 12 digs and six aces.
