Hillman girls topple Eagles
FAIRVIEW — The Hillman Tigers picked up a gritty conference win this week, defeating the Fairview Eagles 43-32. The win moves the Tigers to 5-10 overall (2-6 NSL).
Madelyn Oswald led the way with a dominant 17-point performance, adding 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
The Tigers’ defense was anchored by Abigail Oswald who had six points and eight rebounds and Maci Klein, seven points and six rebounds, combined for eight steals to keep the Eagles off-balance.
The Tigers enjoy a home-court advantage next week with two back-to-back matchups. On Monday the girls place Johannesburg Cardinals and on Tuesday against the Atlanta Huskies.
The Hillman junior varsity Tigers was also victorious and improved to 11-2 overall and 3-0 in
The North Star League with a commanding 45-14 victory over the Fairview Eagles.
Torri Brown led the scoring with 12 points, followed closely by Raelyn Konieczny with 11 points and five steals.
Madelyn Tucker anchored the defense with a massive double-double, recording 11 steals and 10 rebounds to go along with six points.
The Tigers host the Johannesburg Cardinals on Monday.
