Statement in News’ Viewpoint is misleading

I am responding to your “Viewpoint” of Saturday, May 13, 2023. Your statement regarding the water-sewer dispute “has cost taxpayers enough money “ is an untrue statement. The users of the water-sewer system are the ones paying for those costs. While I disagreed with the board regarding the wholesale cost, I did disagree with the costs the city was imposing, because of the inclusion in their rates were for city residents meters, pipes to their streets and other infrastructure which had no benefit to township residents. So grateful for the care I recently received

I’ve had two hernias for 12 years because of fear of having them taken care of. On a visit with my doctor, Dr. Werth, she made an appointment with Dr. Hanna to have them taken care of. Two days later, Dr. Hanna’s office called to make an appointment to see Dr. Hanna. He said why did I wait so long, I know it was bad. He’d do the surgery on June 15. We must choose our next direction wisely

In our beginning as a nation, we experienced bondage. In four steps, we later experienced spiritual faith, great courage, liberty, and abundance. In our next two steps, we experienced complacency and apathy. Currently we are being taught how to be dependent. Media colludes with government to hide malfeasance

In his June 10 commentary, Publisher/Editor Justin Hinkley took Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio to task for his investigation of media censorship via his Select Sub-Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. In his commentary, Hinkley defends the First Amendment and states that the “First Amendment does not say publishers have to publish all speech” He is correct. Perhaps it’s time to eliminate ‘Looking Back’

Dear Editor, Once again I feel compelled to express my concern for an item appearing in the paper daily. I refer to the “Looking Back” piece and your practice of naming folks in a cruel and hurtful way. Here are two recent examples. There are many more. When parents lose a child, and children lose both parents in a tragic, senseless act of violence, that is a hurt that doesn’t go away. A wound to the heart that won’t heal.
