U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman said after President Joe Biden released his $7.3 trillion budget that it cuts essential funding for the new Soo Lock and raises taxes on Americans.

This is not true and Jack knows it, so why does he keep telling us lies?

Biden’s release of his budget blueprint includes $ 2 billion total for the Army Corps construction projects, including $264.1 million for the work underway to build a replacement lock in the Soo, which Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Michael L. Connor called a “very high priority project for the administration.”

Bergman talks about the high national debt but does not tell you that, under Donald Trump, in four years, Trump raised the national debt by over $7 trillion. Jack voted for the huge tax cut for the rich and now wants the hardworking Michiganders to pay for that huge tax cut for the rich. Jack is all about cutting taxes for the rich and not helping the hardworking Michiganders. Biden’s budget raises taxes on the people making over $400,000. Not sure there are that many Michiganders in his district that make that much money.

We need to raise taxes to pay for things that do help the hardworking Michiganders.
