Twain would have had a field day with Trump

Mark Twain once wrote that “man is the only animal that blushes, or needs to.” Since blushing often accompanies a lie, this might explain President Donald Trump’s fondness for dyeing his skin orange: It’s difficult to see a blush on a face whose color would provide effective camouflage in a pumpkin patch.

On the subject of lies, a favorite theme of Twain’s, the author commented that “the most outrageous lies that can be invented will find believers if a man only tells them with all his might.” Given Mr. Trump’s abhorrence of the truth coupled with his love of Twitter, it’s obvious that Twain’s observation, as usual, was spot on.

One can only imagine the field day Twain would have with the likes of Trump, William Barr and Roger Stone.
