Rep. Sue Allor represents our region well

I missed the original announcement, which came out a few weeks ago, but the Michigan chapter of the Sierra Club has endorsed our state representative, Sue Allor, for re-election in 2020. After a little digging, I found out that they were the most recent environmental group to praise Mrs. Allor. Clean Water Action called her an “Environmental Hero,” and the Michigan League of Conservation Voters applauded her work as chair of the committee that oversaw the 2019 appropriations bill for the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

Sue has been a fantastic legislator who has taken a stand against Enbridge’s Line 5 and played a major role in addressing the issue of PFAS contamination, including helping those affected in Oscoda Township get access to clean water. As a legislator who has won with over 60% of the vote in a year when Republicans did well (2016), as well as a year when Democrats did well (2018), it’s obvious that many others agree with me: Sue has been doing a fantastic job serving as our voice in Lansing!
