Schools, city should take care of Lincoln mud

I am writing this letter about the mud pit referred to as Lincoln School, especially on the Taylor Street side.

Year after year, I watch the rainfall turn the side of the street and the sidewalk area into an absolutely disgusting mass of mud. In the wintertime, when the snow melts on warm days, it is almost deplorable at how horrible it looks.

I believe the city and school system should focus a little bit more attention on the Taylor Street and Lincoln School area. Spending money on the downtown area to impress the tourists is nice and all, but there’s a lot of work to be done to the mentioned area.

I urge the readers of this letter to take a drive down Taylor Street after the next major rainfall. Take a look at what our city and school system do not deem as a problem (only been 15 years).
