I am writing concerning the condition of the Duck Park across from the hospital in Alpena.

I run my dog there several times a week. It is unbelievable that people come there to enjoy the the beauty, fresh air, wildlife, and serenity of the park, and then throw trash out the windows of their vehicles.

Now that the snow is melting, fast-food containers, lots and lots of cigarette butts, and other trash found there is profound.

There are trash cans for the garbage. Make an “ash tray” from a coffee can, cut a hole in the top, fill it with a little water, USE it and throw it away when full.

The park is there for every ones use. Please consider others before leaving YOUR trash in this beautiful outdoor park.
