I just lost my respect for news reporters

I just read today’s Nov. 21, 2019 Alpena News and was shocked to read on Page 2A that Ambassador Gordon Sondland had confirmed in the impeachment inquiry that President Donald Trump wanted a QUID PRO QUO from Ukraine’s president.

I was shocked because, for the first time, I watched the congressional inquiry and heard with my own ears what Ambassador Sondland said with regard to QUID PRO QUO. AMBASSADOR Sondland in separate testimony said he asked President Trump directly what he wanted from the Ukrainian president and Trump told Ambassador Sondland, “NOTHING, no QUID PRO QUO, I want nothing, just do the right thing.” Amazingly, the news reported just the opposite of what was said by President Trump to Ambassador Sondland.

I do not want to waste my time listening to this inquiry, but now realize you cannot trust the news reporters to accurately reflect and report what has been said.

I have always thought the news reported accurately.

Now I know if I did not hear it myself and when I read the newspaper and something sounds screwy, it probably is inaccurate. I guess it is true that the news reporters are biased and will knowingly report false information. I guess I am wasting my money buying the newspaper.
