I saw on the news that the Court of Claims said the plan to build the Great Lakes Tunnel is constitutional. That’s great news, because we need the tunnel to keep the Straits of Mackinac safe while making sure energy needs are met. Lost in all the talk about the tunnel is what it means for Michigan jobs. Workers like me will build the tunnel. Workers like me rely on the fuel that’s already flowing through the pipeline, and will flow through it more safely in a tunnel 100 feet below the lakebed. All of the stall tactics threaten our jobs. Hopefully this decision by the court will put an end to them.

Michigan jobs are relying on the Great Lakes Tunnel. Let’s start building it.
