Of what am I speaking? The latest offering at Alpena Civic Theatre: “Rumors.”

Neil Simon was a master of comedy and this show follows suit perfectly. Bill Powell assembled a great group of volunteers: the actors, the set designer, the set builders and all the others that made this a marvelous show to see. The actors were precise. Comedy demands precision in timing and delivery — they were perfect. There was no differentiating between seasoned and new actors. They were all so good. Transcending one’s own personality into that of the part being played will show up in facial expressions. They all became the characters they were playing.

Do you want a winter-ending (hopefully) experience that will leave your body aching because of all the laughter? Go and see “Rumors.”
