Upset at what is happening at Chippewa Hills
It was with shock and dismay that while mountain biking at Chippewa Hills Pathway, I saw all the orange marked trees for removal. In 2005, the Thunder Bay Trails Association was acknowledged as a Partner in Conservation for its work on local trails by the DNR. What the DNR is proposing to do at Chippewa Hills is anything but being a steward, Clear cutting the only elevated biking, hiking and ski trail within 50 miles is unfathomable. I surely hope it is not too late to stop this unnecessary destruction of one of the true gems of our area. Let the governor, senators and congressman know that this an injustice.
