From everyone here at The News to everyone out there celebrating on Sunday, a very happy Easter to you and yours.

For Christians, Easter is the real reason to celebrate.

On Christmas, Jesus came to Earth.

But, on Easter, he fulfilled his promise, rising from the dead to prove his divinity and save all who believe in him.

On Sunday, we celebrate that happy news by gathering together with friends and family, hearing the message at church, and dining in great joy for salvation.

“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” — Romans 8:11

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?'” — John 11:25-26
