Roger Willard Cheek, 78, of Alpena passed away peacefully at home Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, with his loving wife at his side. Roger was born June 23, 1944, in Elkin, North Carolina to the late Willard and Hazel (Tucker) Cheek. He was the oldest of 11 children. He worked as a supervisor with GM for over 40 years before retiring. He married Peggy Szwev on June 18, 1988, and the two of them did a lot of traveling as Roger was always on the move.
