PEARSON, Beverly S., 86, died Sept. 19, 2022, at her home in Alpena after a brief encounter with cancer. Beverly is survived by her beloved children Shari L. (Judy Weisbard) Pearson, Parry W. III, Rick E. (Becky); her grandchildren Jessica (Robert), and Kathryn; and sister-in-law Mary Sue Kingsbury; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will take place Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. William Rayment officiating. Arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Gertrude Adelheid Dowling passed away on Aug. 5, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. She was born to Edward and Maria Nikiel of Vienna, Austria on Dec. 21, 1926, where she met and married Donald J. Dowling and then moved to Alpena. Donald and Gertrude were married until Donald passed away in 2016. She raised five children: Evelyn Dowling, Sylvia (Lynn) Switzer, Cynthia (Timothy) Troxel, Donald J. Thomas Arthur Tews, 71, of Alpena passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland. Thomas was born in Detroit on Feb. 1, 1951, to the late Frederick and Arvilla (Grant) Tews and married Lois Minnie on Sept. 7, 1971. Tom enjoyed wrenching on his mustangs, playing poker on Monday nights and working in his garden. CATTIN, Gary L., 84, of Lincoln, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at his home. Gary is survived by his wife, Janice, four children, Claudette (Robert) Pegram and Jeffrey (Lesa), and Joy Glumm and Paula Potter, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, his sister, Kay Martin, and his brother, Terry (Judy) Cattin.
