William Allan Yalkin

YAKLIN, William Allan, 65, of Grand Lake, died at home on Dec. 12, 2022. Bill is survived by his wife, Kathryn; a daughter, Stephanie (Tim) Burton; son, Kevin (Emily); three grandchildren, Willow, Wyatt and Mallory; one sister, Carol (Lou) Sacco; a sister-in-law, Karen Yaklin; a brother-in-law, Michael David. Beck Funeral Home will announce the date for his memorial Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church in the spring of 2023. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan in memory of William Yaklin. Glen Girard

GIRARD, Glen, 57, of Alpena, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint at the results of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Lorraine Miller, 91, was embraced by her Lord and Savior Dec. 9, 2022 at home in the midst of her loving family. Lorraine was born to George and Gertrude (Brenay) Marsh in Ocqueoc Sept. 26, 1931. Lorraine was married to her faithful partner Melvin J. Miller and they shared 69 years together. Her life was full, devoted to her faith in her Lord and raising her four girls, making sure her family and friends experienced her skills of cooking, canning, baking, and sharing it with all who walked through her door and beyond. Barbara Mae Zimmerman, 78, of Alpena, Michigan passed away on Dec. 6, 2022. She was born on Oct. 21, 1944 to Robert and Helen Zimmerman in Detroit, Michigan. Barb has happily resided at Blue Horizon’s for almost forty years where she has made many wonderful friends. Duane Michael Habermehl, 70, of California, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022. He was born June 1, 1952, to the late Donald and Jean (May) Habermehl. Beloved brother of Carola Fisher, David Habermehl, Lisa Moore, and Gregory Martin. Kept in remembrance by many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Habermehl Jr. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. James Erickson officiating. CRANER, Janet Lucille, 86, of Alpena, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at home. Surviving are her two daughters, Alma Lou Craner, Alma Lee Adams; six grandchildren, Wayne, Darrell, Andy, Bobbie Jo, Becky; and eight great-grandchildren.
