Constance Elaine Mathison, 80, of Alpena passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at Touch of Country Care Home. Constance Elaine Donovan was born on Sept. 10, 1942, to the late Connie and Ida (Gould) Donovan. On Nov. 5, 1960, she married Donald Mathison. She enjoyed being outside in her flower gardens and was a wonderful baker. DONNA JEAN (OLIVER) PRATT

Donna Jean (Oliver) Pratt, 88, of Spruce - The Walking Waving Lady of 23, died on Dec. 30, 2022 of heart valve fatigue. She died in her home with family. She is survived by four children, Mary (Jack) Reddy, Doug, Lyle (Tracie), and Diane Pratt, her brother Pete “Llyoyd” Oliver, her sister Shirley Wright, and her brothers-in-law Larry and Gary (Diane) Johnson. A memorial service is being planned for the spring of 2023. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of The Alpena News. Arrangements are being handled by McWilliams Funeral Home.

Andrew Daoust, 29, of Alpena passed away at home with his family at his side following a long, hard-fought battle with Friedreich’s Ataxia. Andrew was diagnosed at the age of 10 but he never let that define him. While he may have been limited physically, he was never limited in his love of life and others. Philip Allan “Moe” Donakowski, 83, of Alpena, passed away peacefully at Precious Days AFC on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022 with his loving daughter at his side. Philip was a kind, courageous, and loving man that will be dearly missed by many. He was born on Oct. 12, 1939 to the late Philip and Myrtle (Minton) Donakowski in Alpena.
