Ann Christine March, 73, of Lachine passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at her home following a 10-month battle with cancer. Anne Christine Nickodemus was born Sept. 23, 1949, in Saginaw to the late Otto and Frances (Wood) Nickodemus. On Nov. 12, 1982, she married John March. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2022. Ann retired in 2014 after 19 years in customer service with Wal-Mart. Ann’s hobbies included bowling, golfing, fishing, and sewing. Mary Ellen Hartman, 81, of Alpena passed away Dec. 31, 2022, at MediLodge of Alpena from Alzheimer’s disease, having been officially diagnosed in the fall of 2020. Mary was born in Alpena on Oct. 30, 1941, to the late Arthur Henry and late Florence (Berry) Henry. Mary grew up in Presque Isle on East Grand Lake Boulevard, and graduated from Alpena Catholic Central High School in 1959. She married Gary John Hartman on July 11, 1959. Charles Richard Lagerberg, 82, of Black River, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at Besser Senior Living in Alpena. Charlie was born July 23, 1940, to Matt and Ruth (Kuster) Lagerberg. He was raised in Alpena. Charlie was a teacher for Bay City Public Schools, where he taught mechanical drawing, industrial arts, science, and math. He retired in 1992 to Black River. Fred Louis Skiba 77 of Presque Isle (The Ultimate Outdoorsman and #1 Dad) went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 with his two sons by his side at home with the help of Hospice of Michigan after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
