Bruce David Bailey Sr., 86, of Alpena, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. He was a kind, caring, and loving husband, father, brother, and friend that will be dearly missed. Bruce was born on March 21, 1936 to the late Arthur and Lillian (Hatcher) Bailey in Alpena. After high school and some time spent in college, Bruce found himself involved in skilled trades and he was a pattern designer for many different companies in the automotive industry. Jacqueline Raynor Bye died peacefully at home with her daughter Candace, son-in-law Jeff, granddaughter Sara, and dear family friend Kendra Kruse by her side. She was born on Jan. 20, 1923, in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Horace and Elizabeth (Kuhen) Holmes and died on Jan. 16, 2023, four days shy of her 100th birthday! Janet Schalk, 89, of Rogers Township passed away Monday morning January 16, 2023 at her home. The daughter of Reuben and Alice (Rudnick) Bruning was born on December 28, 1933 in Rogers Township. She graduated from Rogers City High School in 1952. On May 1, 1954 she married Marlin Schalk at St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City. Together they made their home in Rogers City. Patricia E. Somers, 81, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at her home. Born April 21, 1941, to Edward and Leona (Bagnall) Jackson in Detroit, she was raised there. On Jan. 4, 1964, she married Wayne Somers. They were residents of Livonia before moving to Lincoln in 1976. Pat was an impeccable dresser, who was always dressed to the T. Her daughters never had to bring fancy outfits, as she always had the perfect outfit, complete with matching purses and jewelry. QUADE, Robert “Bob”, died on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023 at the age of 78. He is survived by his brother, Larry (Pat); three sons, Stephen (Julie), Brian (Susan) and David (Mindy); and seven grandchildren, Courtney, Caitlin, Sean, Thomas, Tyler, Carter and Grant.
