Dorothea B. Schubbe, 86, of Fishers, passed away March 17, 2023. She was born Aug. 13, 1936 in Alpena, Michigan, to the late Martin A. and Margaret A. (Hasse) Domke. Dorothea was a graduate of Alpena High School in Alpena, Michigan. She attended Harper College, Chicago and IUPUI-Fort Wayne. Dorothea was a dedicated homemaker to her family. She was a devoted member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and formerly belonged to Christ the Savior Lutheran Church. Dorothea enjoyed art, painting/drawing, sewing, and shopping. Gordon Glenn Bartz, 86, of Hubbard Lake passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena. Gordie was born in Alpena on Oct. 13, 1936, to the late Edmund and Martha (Borke) Bartz. He married Judith Baker on June 27, 1959. He worked at Besser Company for 40 years, retiring in 1996. Mr. Barkley was born on April 30, 1932, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Myrtle and Merritt Barkley. He spent part of his early life on a farm in Sanford, Michigan. Bruce Nicholson Goodburne, age 88, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Bruce was born in Alpena, Michigan to Raymond and Elizabeth (Capallo) Goodburne. Growing up, he lived in both Alpena and Detroit, and then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After serving, he attended and graduated from Michigan State University.
